| Definition | (1) Both to cognize (literally, take as a cognitive object) the appearance of the world as having truly established existence, which the habits of this grasping cause the mind to fabricate and project, as well as believing this deceptive appearance to correspond to how things actually exist, (2) simply cognizing the appearance of the world as having truly established existence, without actually believing this deceptive appearance to correspond to how things actually exist. Gelug asserts both definitions, while non-Gelug asserts only the first. Abbreviated as "grasping for true existence." |

| Definition | كلٌ من الإدراكَين (حرفياً، اتخاذ الشيء كمحلًا للإدراك) (1) إدراك مظهر العالم كما لو أن له وجوداً مثبتاً فعلياً، ويؤدي التمسك بهذه العادة -وبسببها- إلى أن يقوم الذهن بخلق، وعرض، وأيضاً تصديق أن هذا المظهر الخادع يتفق مع الطريقة التي توجد بها الأشياء في الواقع. (2) ببساطة إدراك مظهر العالم كما لو أن له وجوداً مثبتاً فعلياً دون تصديق فعلي بأن هذا المظهر المخادع يتوافق مع الطريقة التي توجد بها الأشياء في الواقع. مدرسة الغيلوك تؤكد على كلٍ من التعريفين، بينما المدارس التي لا تتبع الجيلوك تؤكد فقط على التعريف الأول. ويُختصَر المصطلح إلى "التمسك بالوجود الحقيقي". |
