| Definition | The disturbing attitude that regards one's five samsara-perpetuating aggregates in either an eternalist or nihilistic way. (1) According to Vasubandhu, an extreme outlook that views the samsara-producing aggregate factors themselves as either lasting eternally or ending totally at death, with no continuity in future lives. (2) According to Tsongkhapa, a disturbing, deluded discriminating awareness that focuses on the conventional "me" and considers it either as having a truly existent identity permanently or as not having continuity in future lives. |

| Definition | Eine störende Geisteshaltung, mit der man die die eigenen fünf Aggregate, durch die sich Samsara fortsetzt, entweder auf eternalistische oder auf nihilistische Weise betrachtet. (1) Vasubandhu zufolge eine extreme Auffassung, welche die Samsara erzeugenden Aggregate-Faktoren selbst entweder als ewig während betrachtet oder annimmt, sie würden mit dem Tod endgültig zu Ende gehen. (2) Tsongkhapa zufolge ein störendes, verblendetes unterscheidendes Gewahrsein, das auf das konventionelle „Ich“ gerichtet ist und entweder meint, dieses habe ständig eine wahrhaft existierende Identität, oder aber, dass es keine Fortsetzung in zukünftigen Leben keine Fortsetzung habe. |
